A midweek pause

There seems to be so much going on ‘out there’ in the world right now that I felt to take a pause and reflect on the subject of energy.

It’s so easy to become affected by the energies around us. We are bombarded every day with social media, news media, and the electromagnetic effects of our mobile devices, computers and TV’s. Our minds and bodies are receiving constant input from all these external factors, and much more besides… but what about our energy field?

Our energy field is a direct reflection of what is happening within the body-mind, and as a result of the things we are exposed to on a daily basis, this can lead to blocked energies which may then lead to illness and disease.

But, if we can start to tune in to ourselves more, bringing attention inside ourselves, we can start to shift any stuck energies and even start to prevent illness and disease.

A great way to do this is through meditation. If you’d like, try a short meditation with me now…

Gently close your eyes and bring your attention to the breath. Notice your chest rising and falling.

Bring your attention to the base chakra…

Inhale in and out at the base chakra. Continue inhaling and exhaling at the base for a few minutes. Is there any tension or tightness in the chakra? As you breathe out, exhale into the tightness, allowing it to unravel and dissolve.

Now move up through each chakra points one by one, repeating the same technique until you reach the crown at the top of the head. Notice any sensations and work to release any tension.

Next, move down back through the chakras, finishing at the base.

Notice how you feel throughout the body. What do you notice? How do you feel inside?
Now slowly, gently open the eyes.

With this short chakra cleansing meditation, you can start to clear blocked energies in your energy field and in the chakras. It is recomended that a meditation of this type is done on a daily basis to continue to break through and release anything that may be stuck and any blockages in your field.

As you meditate more often, especially if you chakra cleanse on a daily basis, you will likely find that you become much more attuned and sensitive to the energies around you, but more importantly, more attuned to your own energy field.

You may also find an emotional release happening, especially with specific chakra points.
